The pressure of being great

I have spent a large portion of time in my life fretting over doing something worthwhile and becoming the person I want to be. Saving the world in some form. Feeling like there was something special I am here to achieve. Something big. And feeling like a failure because I haven’t yet found what that is. The pressure one can feel over doing something great can sometimes suck the joy out of just living.

Why do we put this pressure on ourselves? I get so caught up in finding my purpose that I forget just living a happy meaningful life is purpose enough.

Do you put pressure on yourself to achieve something? What is it? Is it your dream? or is it a measure by which you can say you are a success? Look in your heart

So, going back to the headline, what is this incredible thing that you were put on the earth to do? Well, it’s simple – you are here to ‘be’. To appreciate life in all its forms and feel good about living, realising that your mind is merely a tiny proportion of you.
